
The global food production is estimated to increase by almost 30% by 2030 and 50% by 2050 in response to the future food demand. It is expected that one solution is to increase food production by expanding the amount of farmland; however, agriculture related land-use change may generate more greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and increase loss of biodiversity.
