The Research for Development sub-committee of the Cambodia Conservation Agriculture and Sustainable Intensification Consortium (CASIC)organizes an event on Soil Organic Carbon and Greenhouse Gas Emissions Status: Possible Pathways Towards Regenerative Agriculture in Cambodia.
On March 9th, 2022, the ConservationAgriculture and Sustainable Intensification Consortium (CASIC) conducted theirfirst Executive Board meeting for the year 2022, to discuss the first-semesterprogress and the workplan for CASIC’s second semester. The meeting was led byH.E. Dr. Chan Saruth, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Agriculture,Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and the Chair of CASIC Executive Board andcomprehensively discussed collaboration, innovations as well as the experiencesharing of implementing partners. During the meeting, CASIC also signed aMemorandum of Agreement with Centre of Excellence on Sustainable AgriculturalIntensification and Nutrition (CE SAIN), CIRAD and Swisscontact.
Phnom Penh, 28-29 September 2021: Cambodia Conservation Agriculture and Sustainable Intensification Consortium (CASIC) held its 2nd Annual Regional Workshop with the focus on development of and transition towards Conservation Agriculture & Sustainable Agriculture (CA/SI) and Agroecology (AE) in the region. The virtual workshop was attended about 150 participants from 28 countries.
Conservation Agriculture and Sustainable Intensification Consortium (CASIC) hosted a field visit to introduce the concept of Conservation Agriculture (CA) and the potential of CA business to senior managers of 15 private companies in the agriculture sector.
Swisscontact and CE SAIN Cambodia signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Conservation Agriculture and Sustainable Intensification Consortium (CASIC) on December 30.
On 21 May, 2020, HE Minister Veng Sakhon, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), through a decision letter, has formally approved the formation of the Cambodia Conservation Agriculture Sustainable Intensification Consortium (CASIC).
